Speaking about the current operation, Trump noted that it is proceeding according to plan, adding that approximately 48 high-ranking Iranian officials have been eliminated so far. He also confirmed that three American servicemen have died as a result of the actions. The President did not rule out the possibility of future negotiations with Tehran, although he stated that such discussions should have taken place earlier.
The military operation, which began on February 28, aims to change the regime in Iran, halt its nuclear program, and destroy Iran's missile systems and naval forces. In response, Iran is conducting attacks on Israel and other countries in the Persian Gulf where American military bases are located. As a result of joint strikes by Israel and the U.S., the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed.
