According to the President of the United States, the military operation in Iran may take about four weeks. In his interview published on March 1, Trump noted that everything is going according to plan, claiming that American forces have "destroyed all" of Iran's leadership, including, according to his information, 48 high-ranking officials.

Trump also emphasized that he is ready for negotiations with Iran but could not provide a clear answer to the question of when they might take place. "I don't know. They want discussions, but I told them: 'You should have talked last week, not now,'" he noted.

Second Address to the Nation in 48 Hours

Donald Trump addressed the American people on March 1, promising to "avenge" the deaths of three American servicemen and issued a new ultimatum to Tehran, urging the country to support his fight for "freedom." This was his second address to the nation in just two days, as noted by the Daily Mail.

In his previous address, also on March 1, he accused the Iranian authorities of having "waited too long" for negotiations. Trump clarified that some of the Iranian negotiators who had been in contact were killed as a result of American attacks. "They should have made a deal earlier. They were too clever," he added.

Joint Actions of Israel and the U.S. Against Iran

On February 28, Israel and the U.S. struck targets in Tehran and other locations in Iran. Trump announced his intention to destroy the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic, calling on Iranian military forces to lay down their arms and urging the country's population to "take their fate into their own hands."

In response, Iran attacked territories of Israel and other countries in the region. The U.S. Central Command reported on February 28 that the damage from Iranian strikes was "minimal and did not affect operations." However, on March 1, it was reported that three American servicemen were killed and five others were seriously injured.

On the second day of the military operation, the Iranian side confirmed the information about the death of the country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking military officials, including Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh and the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Mohammad Pakpour.
