The Chosun Daily: Kim Jong Un appointed his 13-year-old daughter head of North Korea's nuclear forces

According to sources, Kim Ju Ae, the daughter of the North Korean leader, is effectively performing the duties of "general director of the missile division," even though this position is formally held by Chang Chang Ha. Kim Ju Ae receives reports from generals and even has the authority to issue orders. Additionally, intelligence has noted that she participated in discussions on a number of political issues during the 9th Congress of the Workers' Party in Pyongyang.

On February 12, South Korea's intelligence service presented information to a parliamentary committee indicating that this appointment could signify preparations for her role as a successor. Information about Kim Jong Un's daughter became known in November 2022, when she attended the launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile "Hwasong-17," as reported by The Chosun Daily. However, her name was not disclosed at that time.

The name of Kim Jong Un's daughter was first mentioned by former NBA player Dennis Rodman, who visited North Korea in 2013 at the invitation of the country's leader. At that time, he stated that the girl's name is Kim Ju Ae, although intelligence data suggests a possible name of Kim Ju Hae.
