The investigation has revealed that citizens of Spain, Colombia, and Cuba, as well as a person with dual citizenship of Spain and Colombia, are also involved in this case. In 2024, they attempted to set fire to the production workshop of UAB TVC Solutions in the city of Šiauliai, with the total value of the property they targeted exceeding 4 million euros.

The first attempt at arson occurred on the night of September 17, 2024, when, according to the investigation, a citizen of Spain and the dual citizen acted. However, their actions were interrupted by passersby, and the crime was not completed.

The second attempt took place on September 22, 2024, when, according to the investigation, a Russian and a Belarusian were involved. They believed they had committed arson and left the scene, but no actual damage was caused, as the means used failed to ignite the goods in the warehouse.

Lithuanian authorities believe that the accused may have acted under the direction of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, known as the GRU. According to the police, the coordination of the crime was carried out by individuals located in Russia with connections to military intelligence.

According to the investigation, the detainees may be linked to similar attacks that have occurred in Poland, Romania, and the Czech Republic. Currently, all of them are under arrest in Lithuania.

It has also become known that the investigation continues regarding four more suspects. One of them was detained in Colombia by an international warrant, while the others are wanted.

Lithuanian authorities claim that the goal of this group was to "intimidate society, hinder support for Ukraine in its struggle against the Russian invasion," as well as to create an atmosphere of fear and distrust in Western countries and destabilize their political and economic structures.
