According to information provided by the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) to the Interfax agency, there has been a significant decrease in the number of foreigners expelled from Russia in 2025. Over the course of 11 months this year, 54,400 people were forcibly expelled, while during the same period in 2024, this figure was 79,000.

It is worth noting that in 2024, the number of expulsions nearly doubled compared to 2023. However, in 2025, a reverse trend is observed, and the number of expelled migrants is sharply decreasing.

According to information from the FSSP, this trend is related to the extension of the presidential decree on temporary measures concerning the legal status of certain categories of foreign citizens and stateless persons. This decree was introduced in connection with the enforcement of the expulsion regime and requires foreigners to regularize their documents by September 10.
