According to the latest data, the number of victims of the landslide in the Indonesian province of West Java has risen to 25 people. This was reported by the Antara news agency, citing the National Disaster Management Agency of the country.
Initially, 17 fatalities were reported. Currently, the search and rescue operation is ongoing, with 65 people still considered missing. However, the search efforts have been temporarily suspended due to heavy rains, unstable ground, and further landslides.
The tragedy occurred on January 24 in the West Bandung area, where a landslide struck the settlement of Pasir Langu amid heavy rainfall.
