
The discussion at the meeting covered a wide range of issues, including the institutional activities of TURKPA and projects implemented since 2008. The Secretaries General were also interested in current political processes both in the region and on the international stage, with an emphasis on the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in the context of modern challenges and conflict resolution.
The parties considered the prospects for cooperation between TURKPA and the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, including the possibility of granting TURKPA observer status in the CIS IPA.
Dmitry Kobitsky noted the significant potential for deepening interaction, including the exchange of experiences in parliamentary diplomacy and the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at strengthening peace, security, and stability, as well as developing relations between friendly countries. He emphasized that cooperation between the two organizations could be mutually beneficial.
As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to further develop cooperation between TURKPA and the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on mutual interests and the possibility of organizing reciprocal visits.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA, Mukhammet Alper Hayali, and the Head of the Protocol Service, Yadigar Mammadov.
