Over 973,000 men in Kyrgyzstan underwent screening. What diseases were detected?

According to the Ministry of Health, more than 973 thousand men underwent preventive screening for non-communicable diseases in Kyrgyzstan in 2025.

The results of the examinations showed that 119.6 thousand men (which is 12% of the total number) were found to have elevated blood pressure. Additionally, 49.6 thousand (5%) screening participants were noted to have a high risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, while nearly 60.8 thousand men (6%) were identified as having a high risk of diabetes.

Throughout the year, 15,388 patients were registered with a diagnosis of hypertension and 7,364 individuals with diabetes.

Moreover, in 2025, cardiovascular diseases were the cause of 16,644 deaths among the adult population of Kyrgyzstan.
