In the Naryn region, in the Ak-Tal district, there is a shortage of 22 medical specialists. This information was presented by Azamat Duyshonaliev, the director of the Orozbek Kokkuzov Center for General Medical Practice.

According to him, the situation with the shortage of doctors affects many areas of medicine. In 2025, five new doctors arrived in the district, who are continuing their practice; however, the number of staff is still insufficient.

The district urgently needs an obstetrician-gynecologist, neonatologist, traumatologist, anesthesiologist, family doctors, ophthalmologist, neurologist, endocrinologist, therapist, pediatrician, children's surgeon, and a number of other specialists.

The director emphasized that attracting doctors from other regions occurs regularly, but many refuse to relocate due to the remoteness of the district. Another problem is the lack of affordable housing: in rural areas, there are virtually no rental options, and the available ones often do not meet the requirements of incoming specialists.

In light of this situation, local authorities, together with the administration of the medical institution, are developing a project for the construction of housing for new doctors. Currently, there is a small dormitory, but its capacity is limited.

The shortage of doctors is causing dissatisfaction and difficulties among the local population.
