During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurbek Akjolov, the Deputy Minister of Finance, announced measures aimed at supporting small and medium-sized businesses in Kyrgyzstan.
He reported that since 2021, medium-sized businesses have received 150 million dollars in the form of donor funds, which were issued interest-free. Approximately 20,000 small and medium-sized enterprises have benefited from these loans. "We are continuing this work," Akjolov added.
He also noted that starting this year, the program will continue. A new agreement has been signed with the World Bank for 120 million dollars. These funds will be provided at an annual interest rate of 8%, and the loan amounts that entrepreneurs can receive will range from 100,000 to 50 million soms.
