Recently, the European Commission officially approved the import of Kyrgyz honey into the EU countries. This product has been added to a special list of the EU technical regulation, which indicates that Kyrgyzstan's control and certification system complies with strict European standards.
This decision was made possible thanks to the years of efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan to implement international norms. Previously, the export of honey to Europe was hindered by stringent certification requirements, which prevented producers from Kyrgyzstan from entering this profitable market.
Now, having entered the registry, Kyrgyz honey will be able to significantly expand its export opportunities and increase its competitiveness in the international arena. The Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that they will continue to work on promoting other products from Kyrgyzstan in the European Union markets.
