
Bitcoin alone lost more than 2.5 billion dollars.
According to Bloomberg, over the past week, the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies decreased by 476.6 billion dollars.
Data from CoinGecko shows that since January 29, there has been a sharp decline in the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies. By February 3, some of them reached their lowest levels since 2024, including Bitcoin, which suffered losses of 2.5 billion dollars.
This sharp drop in prices triggered mass liquidations of risky positions in the market and intensified doubts about whether "digital gold" can serve as a reliable asset in times of economic instability.
