New opportunities for Kyrgyz entrepreneurs thanks to the European Commission's decision
Kyrgyzstan has now officially been added to the list of honey suppliers for European Union countries, marking an important milestone in the development of the agricultural sector, concluding years of negotiations.
The European Commission's decision to include honey from Kyrgyzstan in the list of imported goods confirms that the national veterinary control system fully complies with the strict technical requirements of the EU. In anticipation of the start of supplies, the Veterinary Service organized a series of consultations with local producers to create an export roadmap.
“This is a significant achievement that opens up access to a market with high purchasing power for Kyrgyz beekeepers,” noted the relevant agency.
Previously, exports were hindered due to non-compliance of certification procedures with international standards.
