In response, the deputy head of the State Mortgage Company, Nurlan Kudaykulov, stated that in Bishkek, the cost is 59,140 soms per square meter, while in the regions it is 64,800 soms.
Azygaliev also clarified the selling price of the housing, to which Kudaykulov reported that the cost of apartments ranges from 900 to 1,400 dollars per square meter.
The deputy expressed confusion regarding such a significant gap between the cost price and market prices for housing.
"GIK also needs to make a profit to ensure the functioning of the apparatus and the implementation of new projects," explained the deputy head of GIK.
In response, the first deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Daniyar Amangeldiev, added that the tariffs of the State Mortgage Company are under constant control, and all risks are balanced by profits.
He also noted that the apartments offered by GIK are sold with ready-made renovations.
"Our task is not to make a profit, but to build affordable housing for those in need," emphasized the deputy.
