A lamb was delivered to the livestock market in the Sary-Ozon rural area, located in the Sokuluk district of the Chuy region, with a price tag of 30 thousand dollars.

According to traders, on February 8, this lamb became the most expensive on the market among all sheep and goats. A local farmer presented five lambs: two were 4 months old, one was 7 months old, and two were 8 months old. The seven-month-old lamb was valued at 30 thousand dollars, while the four-month-olds were priced at 1,000 dollars, and the eight-month-old was valued at 70 thousand soms.

A Turmush correspondent found out that the lambs were raised by 48-year-old Kanat Borombaev, who lives in the village of Sary-Bulak in the Jayil district.

This lamb, which has been assigned a price of 30 thousand dollars, is the grandson of a ram named Eba, owned by local farmers. The name "Eba" translates to "18" in Kyrgyz, and it is likely related to the year of its birth—2018—or its initial valuation of 18 thousand dollars. On the maternal side, it descends from a ram nicknamed Koraбль. In my farm, I have lines of such famous rams as Koraбль, Sharpey, Shirokiy, and Tornado.

Although I tried to sell my Arahshan breed lambs, some traders offered too low a price for them. For example, for the lamb valued at 30 thousand dollars, I was offered only 10 thousand, but I refused.

I started developing my farm back in 2005, bringing in the best rams from farms in the city of Kant, but in 2017 I sold everything. Since 2019, I have returned to the Arahshan breed, acquired livestock, and have been engaged in their breeding and raising since then," shared Kanat Borombaev.
