Over $66 million. Car registration has started to bring more money to the budget of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the forecasts of the Ministry of Finance, by the end of 2025, revenues from vehicle registrations will amount to 5 billion 791.6 million soms, which is equivalent to approximately $66.1 million. This is 3 billion 343.7 million soms more than in the period from January to December 2024.

It is worth noting that during the ten months of 2024, there was a decrease in revenues from vehicle registrations. This is related to the introduction of new rules for calculating the recycling fee on vehicles imported from EAEU countries, which came into effect in Russia. Experts from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development predicted that changes in Russian legislation would impact the budget of Kyrgyzstan.
