On February 5, 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic approved a resolution that transfers the pesticide registration process to a digital format, allowing the submission of all necessary documents electronically.
This initiative is part of the Digital Transformation Concept planned for 2024–2028. The main goal of the reform is to simplify life for the agricultural sector by eliminating paperwork and ensuring transparency in the examination process.
How this will affect businesses and government structures:
Remote document submission: applicants can now submit their documents online, reducing administrative barriers and streamlining the process.
Increased transparency: each stage of the registration and examination process will be available for real-time tracking, helping to reduce corruption risks.
Creation of a unified database: a common electronic database for all approved agrochemicals and pesticides will be established in the country, significantly simplifying access to this information.
Strengthening environmental control: digitization will help improve the monitoring of the quality of products available on the market, positively impacting the health of citizens and environmental protection.
The new rules aim to implement principles of openness in the activities of government bodies and to create a modern system for accounting chemical substances used in the country's agricultural sector.
