On February 24, the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, dealing with issues of industrial policy, transport, as well as architecture and construction, approved the ratification of a number of agreements.

In particular, the project for the construction of a bridge over the Naryn River on the Bishkek - Osh highway was approved. Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Ulukbek Janibekov noted that this bill was developed with the aim of improving transport links between Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries.

According to him, the new structure will be built in the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region at the 315th kilometer of the Bishkek - Osh road, as the old bridge, built 50 years ago, has exhausted its resources. The Japanese government is allocating a grant of 3 billion 190 million yen for these needs, which is equivalent to $20 million 416 thousand 639.

An agreement on the construction of 3.2 km of roads and two overpass bridges in Osh, financed by the Eurasian Development Bank, was also discussed. Janibekov reported that the project will be financed in the amount of $19.2 million, of which $14.15 million will be a loan from the EDB, $1.2 million will be a grant, and the remaining $3.9 million will be allocated from the state budget.

In addition, Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev reported that Japan is providing Kyrgyzstan with a grant of $1.15 million to create a new training center that will prepare specialists in the field of energy and operators for NESK. The completion of construction is planned for April 2027.

The committee members approved the proposed projects without any discussions.
