The new pumping station "Tepke," located in the Ak-Su district, will soon begin its full operation, becoming one of the largest in Kyrgyzstan.

Nurzat Kaliev, the head of the district's water management department, reported that starting this year, the station will operate at full capacity.

As part of the preparations for the spring fieldwork, representatives of the presidential envoy's office in the Issyk-Kul region visited the Ak-Su district, where they familiarized themselves with the condition and technical specifications of the strategically important "Tepke" pumping station.

The "Tepke" station is one of the leading hydraulic engineering facilities in the country and plays a crucial role in providing the agricultural sector of the region with the necessary irrigation water. It serves 3,800 hectares of agricultural land.

Currently, the station consists of five units. Previously, due to a lack of necessary components, only three of them were operational.

In 2025, the required equipment was acquired, and this season all five units will be put into operation. "The station will operate at full capacity, providing farmers with the necessary irrigation water," noted Nurzat Kaliev.

The upgrade of the station will help prevent water shortages during the growing season and increase the yield of agricultural crops in the Ak-Su district.
