The highest number of vacancies is for skilled workers
As of January 1, 2026, there are 5,547 job vacancies in Kyrgyzstan, according to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration. The most in-demand professions are skilled trades.
The unemployment rate in the country is 1.3%. There are 56,500 people registered with employment services, of which 38,100 are officially registered as unemployed. In 2025, these services helped to employ 17,454 individuals.
The largest number of vacancies, specifically 4,251, is related to skilled trades. In this segment, the most popular positions are for tailors (1,850 positions), drivers (1,000), cooks (420), sales agents (400), builders (373), and welders (150).
In the service sector, there are 1,296 vacancies, including 350 for educators, 320 for medical workers, 151 for cashiers, 150 for accountants, 96 for administrators, 95 for managers, and 185 for interns. There is also a need for 253 specialists in computer technology.
According to the National Statistical Committee, the highest average salary is observed in the financial sector — 67,121 soms, in industry — 66,990 soms, in transportation — 58,657 soms, and in construction — 57,472 soms. The average salary in trade is 47,125 soms, in agriculture — 33,462 soms, in the service sector — 29,679 soms, in healthcare and social services — 28,082 soms, in education — 27,054 soms, and in culture — 24,861 soms.
