The Minister of Energy instructed the management of companies constructing solar power plants to strengthen quality control.

The Minister of Energy, Talaybek Ibraev, visited the Issyk-Kul region on a working trip on January 25, 2026. During the visit, he held a series of meetings with the heads of companies engaged in renewable energy sources.

According to the press service of the ministry, one of the minister's first tasks was to familiarize himself with the construction process of a solar power plant in the village of Toru-Aygyr, implemented by the company "Unigrin." Currently, the completed work includes:

- Land planning – 80%;
- Installation of fencing – 95%;
- Delivery of supporting structures for the first phase – 50%;
- Piling of supporting structures for the first phase – 6%;
- Construction of protective structures, including a diversion channel and drainage ponds – 50%;
- Preparation of pits for the supports of the 220 kV power line – 40%;
- Assembly of supports is underway.

The solar power plant with a capacity of 100 MW is expected to be put into operation on August 31, 2026.

Additionally, Minister Ibraev also checked the progress of work on the construction of another solar power plant, designed by the company "RECA." Here, 10% of the total construction work for the solar power plant with a capacity of 17 MW has been completed.

Currently, the construction of temporary housing for workers has been completed, the foundation for the substation has been laid, and 50% of the 110 kV power line has been installed. The completion of the first phase of the project, which is expected to have a capacity of 175 MW, is scheduled for the first half of 2026.

The Minister of Energy emphasized the need to strengthen control over the quality and pace of work, highlighting the importance of adhering to deadlines.
