In light of this situation, the Ministry of Health plans to intensify efforts in prevention and rehabilitation, including collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Education. As part of this initiative, explanatory activities will be conducted for students of general education institutions and universities.
A state rehabilitation center for drug addicts is planned to be opened based on an existing facility for post-stroke patients in the village of Dachnoye in the Alamudun district. The new center will have 80 beds. Post-stroke patients will be able to undergo rehabilitation at the Kyrgyz Scientific Research Institute of Resortology and Rehabilitation in the village of Vorontsovka, if medically indicated.
The Minister emphasized that illegal rehabilitation centers should not exist and highlighted the importance of creating a transparent and accountable state assistance system. In this regard, a plan of activities for the state anti-drug program for the next five years is being developed.
Zhenishbek Nazaraliev expressed readiness to provide methodological support to the Ministry of Health in the operation of the new rehabilitation center and in attracting qualified specialists with experience in rehabilitation and restorative treatment.
