As part of the efforts to improve the electricity supply in the region, the Chui Electric Networks Enterprise implemented over 150 kilometers of SIP cables in 2025.
In total, in the Chui region, the following was installed: 7.52 kilometers of 35/10 kV lines and 15.75 kilometers of 10 kV lines using SIP-3, as well as 146.24 kilometers of 10 kV lines converted to SIP-2.
Breakdown by districts:
- Alamudun District – 31.2 km;
- Kemin District – 6.2 km;
- Moscow District – 13.7 km;
- Jail District – 23.34 km;
- Sokuluk District – 32.6 km;
- Chui District – 7.5 km;
- Ysyk-Ata District – 16.5 km;
- Panfilov District – 15.2 km.
SIP cables are characterized by high resistance to environmental influences, including adverse natural conditions, which is an important factor for protecting overhead power lines.
This wire ensures reliability under temperature fluctuations, ice formation, precipitation, and strong winds. In hurricane and storm conditions, traditional aluminum wires often cannot withstand the loads and break, whereas SIP can function even in harsh conditions, giving it a significant advantage.
These works are aimed at ensuring stable electricity supply for consumers during the autumn-winter period and minimizing the risks of emergency situations.
