- The Vice President for Field Services and Technical Maintenance of Transportation Global LLC, Gainy Duysenova, reported at the B5+1 forum taking place in Bishkek that over the past five years, railway transport has become the primary mode of cargo transportation in Central Asia, accounting for 70% of the total volume. This highlights the need for investments in updating rolling stock, both passenger and freight cars.

She noted that to stimulate trade and economic growth in the region, modernization of railway infrastructure, expansion of transport routes, and support for local businesses are required.

The expert also mentioned that the length of the railway network in Central Asia is about 45,000 kilometers, which is significantly less than in countries like the USA and India, where the lengths of the networks exceed 150,000 and 130,000 kilometers respectively.

Gainy Duysenova emphasized that to attract investors, it is necessary to create financial confidence for clients. In this context, the company is actively collaborating with financial institutions in the region.
