On March 12, during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputies discussed and adopted a number of bills concerning the ratification of agreements aimed at abolishing visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports. Among the countries with which such agreements have been concluded are Egypt, Oman, Slovenia, and the Benelux countries.

All bills were adopted in three readings.

The ratified documents include:

— "Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Benelux countries on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and service passports, signed on June 18, 2025, in Brussels";

— "Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the government of Slovenia on mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports, signed on October 16, 2025, in Ljubljana";

— "Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the government of Oman on mutual abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports, signed on September 25, 2025, in New York";

— "Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the government of Egypt on mutual abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports, signed on November 4, 2025, in Cairo".

Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziev presented the bills. He noted that these agreements will allow citizens holding diplomatic, special, and service passports to move freely within the territories of the participating countries without visa restrictions for up to 90 days within a six-month period.

During the discussion, deputies emphasized the importance of continuing the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to expand the list of countries with which a simplified visa regime could be introduced not only for diplomats and officials but also for holders of ordinary civil passports.

The record "The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan approved laws on visa abolition for diplomats and officials of a number of countries" first appeared in K-News.
