The housing complex approved an agreement with the Benelux countries on a visa-free regime for diplomats.

On March 12, the Jogorku Kenesh completed the discussion process and adopted the bill on the ratification of the agreement that exempts holders of diplomatic and service passports from visa requirements, concluded between Kyrgyzstan and the Benelux countries. This agreement was signed in Brussels on June 18, 2025.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Almaz Imangaziev reported that the document includes an agreement with Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, allowing holders of valid diplomatic and service passports to travel without visas.

According to the terms of the agreement, such diplomats will be able to stay in the Benelux and Kyrgyzstan for up to 90 days within a six-month period without the need for a visa.

The explanatory note to the bill emphasizes that this initiative is aimed at improving conditions for business and diplomatic mobility, as well as simplifying travel for citizens with diplomatic and service passports.
