The Dominican Republic and Mongolia have agreed on a visa-free regime

“Mongolia and the Dominican Republic have reached an agreement on visa-free entry for citizens of both countries. This decision is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and simplifying the travel process,” reports MiddleAsianNews.

According to diplomatic note DU/TI-051162 dated December 29, 2025, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic (Mirex) through its embassy in Cuba, it is also reported that the Embassy of Mongolia in Cuba has parallel accreditation in the Dominican Republic. The visa-free agreement was signed on September 26, 2024, and officially approved by the Dominican Republic on November 28, 2025, by resolution 94-25, published in Official Bulletin No. 11219, after fulfilling all legal requirements in accordance with national legislation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic (Mirex) has requested information on the ratification process of the agreement by Mongolia to monitor the timeline for its entry into force. At the same time, the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Cuba expressed gratitude to the Embassy of Mongolia for the cooperation and efforts that made the conclusion of this bilateral agreement possible, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic relations for the development of international ties and mobility.

The establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Dominican Republic took place on May 27, 2010. Santo Domingo, located in the eastern part of the Caribbean island of Haiti, is the capital of the Dominican Republic. The official language of the country is Spanish, the population is 11.4 million people, and the area is 48,670 km², making it the 85th most populous and the 132nd largest country in the world.
