- The Press Service of the Ministry of Justice reports on the development of a new draft law aimed at regulating the activities of realtors.

The purpose of the document is to protect citizens from unscrupulous intermediaries, as well as from hidden commissions, fraud, and manipulative schemes. It is also intended to combat fake listings and other manifestations of so-called "wild realty practices." In recent years, unprofessional and opaque practices have actively emerged in the real estate market, creating risks for citizens when conducting transactions.

The development of the draft law is part of the process of debureaucratization and aims to systematize realtor activities, as well as to organize intermediary services in the real estate market.

Main provisions of the draft:

* mandatory state registration (certification) of realtors in accordance with established professional standards;

* introduction of a realtor identification card, which will allow citizens to verify the legitimacy and status of the intermediary;

* creation of unified standards for realtor services and standard contracts;

* ensuring transparency of information about the status, role, and powers of the realtor during the transaction;

* prohibition of double commissions and restriction of misleading advertising for real estate objects;

* establishment of liability for illegal activities of realtors and for violations of established norms.

Additionally, the draft law includes tax measures aimed at curbing speculative operations with real estate.

The adoption of this document is expected to be a step towards organizing the real estate market, which should increase citizens' trust and create civilized conditions for honest market participants, the ministry reports.
