The Ministry of Natural Resources and KOICA Discussed a $10 Million Project to Improve Air Quality

On February 2, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Nature, attended by Minister Meder Mashiev and Deputy Minister Asel Raimkulova, as well as representatives of the delegation from the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

According to the press service of the Ministry of Nature, the project aimed at improving air quality was discussed, which will be implemented in 2026–2028 in the territory of Bishkek and the Chui region.

This project, funded by a grant from the Korean government of up to $10 million, is aimed at reducing emissions of pollutants, creating a comprehensive air quality management plan, and introducing environmentally friendly heating systems in public sector educational institutions.
