In the Botanical Garden, construction of mini-football fields has begun on a plot with rocky soil. This was reported on January 21 during a broadcast on "Birinchi Radio" by Nurbek Albanov, the deputy director of the garden.

According to Albanov, the botanical garden, located on Akhunbaev Street, covers an area of 127 hectares. The mini-football fields are planned to be placed near the entrance that leads to this same street.

The deputy director clarified that the decision to build was made in collaboration with the president and representatives of the National Academy of Sciences, and not solely on the initiative of the garden's administration.

Albanov also noted that this specifically concerns mini-football fields, rather than the creation of a full-fledged arena. The construction work will not be heavy: the fields will be outdoors, and mesh fencing will be installed around them. The total area of the field will be about 15–16 hundred square meters.

Additionally, Nurbek Albanov explained that the choice of the rocky plot for construction was deliberate, as for 20–30 years it has not been possible to grow plants on this land due to the large number of stones.

He also added that when the botanical garden was established in 1962, part of the territory was also rocky, and soil was brought in to improve it. However, the rocky layer on the plot where the fields are currently being built has remained to this day.
