15-year-old Bakmurat Saparaiev, living in Talas, won a silver medal at the international English language Olympiad and received the opportunity to participate in an event abroad. This information was shared by his mother, Zhyldyz Kozubekova.

According to Zhyldyz, Bakmurat has been studying English at courses for three months.

“The teachers noted his determination and diligence, emphasizing how interested he is in the subject. Soon they began to encourage him to participate in the international Olympiad, assuring him that he could succeed, and this became his motivation,” she said.

The Olympiad took place from January 31 to February 1 at one of the universities in Bishkek, where the strongest students from the country gathered. About 600 participants from across the republic took part. Over the two days of competition, Bakmurat took second place and was awarded a silver medal, as well as a certificate for participation in the Olympiad, which will be held in London or Abu Dhabi.

Despite finishing second, Bakmurat was not upset. “This will be a motivation for my further development; I will need to study hard,” he noted.

In the future, Bakmurat dreams of mastering the English language at a professional level, traveling the world, and, like the honorable Chubak Azhy, sharing knowledge about religion with people, and becoming a theologian.

“To realize his dream, he will need to put in even more effort. His father and I are trying to support him so that he can move forward. We believe that he will succeed and become a worthy person, useful to society,” added Z. Kozubekova.
