This school was built in 1996 using the ashar method.
According to her, the building is not only severely outdated, but the classrooms can no longer accommodate the students.
“Our school is located in the Tandoo section of the village of Kotkor. This one-story building, constructed in the style of a residential house, was erected by villagers using the ashar method about 30 years ago. Here we teach children only up to the 9th grade. The school is designed for 115 places, but currently, there are 320 students enrolled. Due to the lack of space, children are forced to sit three to a desk.
Because of the shortage of classrooms, we have even had to convert the cafeteria, where children drink tea during breaks, into a classroom. This situation negatively affects the quality of education. Due to the age of the building, cracks have appeared on the walls,” said K. Abylova.
In the Bazar-Korgon district of the Jalal-Abad region, there are a total of 67 schools. In 2025, 4 new schools were built and put into operation. This year, the construction of 3 more educational institutions is ongoing.
