A new social project has been launched in Kyrgyzstan aimed at supporting women and girls who have become victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. In this context, a 24-hour hotline has been established under the number 5200.

The Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that this hotline provides free, prompt, and confidential assistance to those affected. Calls to the number 5200 can be made anonymously, and it is available for all mobile operators across the country.

Specialized psychologists and consultants trained in violence and crisis situations work on the hotline around the clock. It operates without weekends and holidays.

Callers can expect psychological support, information on measures to protect their rights, consultations regarding temporary shelters, as well as medical and legal assistance. Support is also provided to relatives and witnesses of cases of violence.
