

On February 1, a raid aimed at combating poaching took place on Lake Issyk-Kul, as reported by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of the operation, over 500 meters of old synthetic fishing nets of Chinese origin were confiscated.
Since the beginning of 2026, more than 3100 meters of illegally installed fishing nets have already been discovered and removed in this region.
The agency emphasized that measures to combat poaching are ongoing.
