“The concept of the park will remain unchanged”
Readers of Vesti.kg reported that major construction is currently underway in Atatürk Park.
In the area where stables, trees, and shrubs used to be located, a new building is being erected.
City hall representatives noted that all ongoing work is being carried out as part of the park's reconstruction project.
“We guarantee that the reconstruction will not violate the park's concept. The building is intended for hippotherapy, which will be aimed at helping people with disabilities,” the municipality stated.
It should be noted that the Bishkek city hall collected funds from property owners located in the park zone. This money is directed towards creating running and walking paths, as well as sports and children's playgrounds in the park. However, some residents expressed dissatisfaction with the authorities' actions, as a significant number of trees and shrubs were cut down as a result of the work.
