The main heat and power plant of Bishkek is operating normally, providing uninterrupted supply of electricity and thermal energy for the residents of the capital. This was reported by the press service of the city administration.

As of February 2 of this year, the average capacity of the HPP is 455 megawatts. The daily volume of thermal energy reaches 9,285 gigacalories, while electricity generation amounts to 10,925 kilowatt-hours. At the same time, the plant uses 7,831 tons of coal and 368 thousand normal cubic meters of gas daily.
The HPP consists of 15 boiler units, 7 turbo units with cross connections, and two power blocks — numbers 3 and 4.

Currently, 9 boiler units, 4 turbo units with cross connections, and both power blocks are in operation.

To ensure the reliability of thermal and electrical energy supplies in preparation for the autumn-winter season of 2025/2026, the delivery of 1.4 million tons of coal is planned. Deliveries will continue until the end of the heating season.

As of February 2, the HPP has 204,537 tons of coal in stock, which guarantees stable operation of the plant during the current heating season.

The Bishkek HPP continues to operate steadily, taking all necessary measures to ensure reliable electricity supply for both the population and enterprises of the city.
