Will it become a museum or will it be demolished?
Today, February 3, Vice Mayor Azamat Kadyrov announced plans for the construction of a new building for the Bishkek city hall during a meeting of the deputy factions.
The project, which was developed back in 2020, will finally begin to be implemented this year. The new building will be located behind the current municipality, on Kyiv Street, in the parking lot area.
Construction work is expected to start at the end of this week.
The Vice Mayor noted that the building will include two underground floors intended for parking.
As for the fate of the old building, the official did not specify whether it will be demolished or if it will become a museum, as was the case with the Western bus station.
