A Resource Center for Children with Down Syndrome Opened in the City of Osh

A new resource center for children with Down syndrome has opened in the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan, the city of Osh. The press service of the city administration reported this event.

The goal of the center is to help children with developmental disabilities adapt to society and provide necessary support to their parents.



The opening ceremony took place with the support of the public foundation "Santerra-Yug." The mayor of the city, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, attended the event, toured the new premises, and spoke with the parents of children with special needs.

To date, more than 300 parents from the southern regions of the country are registered with the "Santerra-Yug" foundation, 70 of whom are from Osh. The center offers activities aimed at developing independent living skills in children and provides parents with social, psychological, and informational support.

In accordance with the agreement signed on December 11, 2025, with the Osh city administration, the "Santerra-Yug" foundation is renting a building with an area of 200 square meters for five years. Renovation and restoration work has been carried out in the premises.
