The personal exhibition of the Franco-Kyrgyz artist Zlata Beord titled "To Be... / To Be" will open on February 13 at 15:00 at the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after Gapar Aitiev.

At the center of the exhibition is the impact of social and cultural standards on an individual's self-perception. The choice of date – Friday, February 13 – emphasizes the artist's interest in the conditionality of such norms and their entrenchment in society.

Zlata Beord explores the processes of transition and transformation when external social, familial, and gender frameworks begin to diverge from a person's internal feelings.

The exhibition is structured as a journey, where painting serves as a tool for realizing changes – from the rejection of one identity to the acceptance of another, leading to a state where true value lies not in "being someone," but in the simple fact of existence – "to be." The key concept of the exhibition is the idea of mutation as a metaphor for the state of "between," when a person has not yet found a new form but is already beginning to leave the old one. This process of change highlights that wholeness does not always imply stability, and uncertainty becomes a natural aspect of life.

The exhibition includes 13 sequential zones-states, where viewers can walk this path alongside the artist, providing an opportunity to reflect on their own experiences or simply enjoy them without striving for conclusions.
