The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the factory is not harmful to the environment
During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva raised the issue of complaints from residents of the Lenin district of Bishkek regarding the unpleasant smell coming from the Coca-Cola factory located on Lushchikhina Street.
According to her, the smell is most noticeable in the morning hours. The deputy also emphasized that the factory was built without adhering to sanitary norms and is located too close to residential buildings. She appealed to the Minister of Ecology, Medera Mashiev, to address this situation.
In response, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Daniyar Amangeldiev, stated that this issue will be monitored. He noted that the factory was built before the residential buildings were constructed.
“It is important to understand that the enterprise existed here before the residential houses were built. Moreover, this is not a hazardous production. Coca-Cola is a public company that cares about the environment, as its shares are traded on the international stock exchange. I personally reviewed the operation of the factory, and there are no harmful productions there,” assured Amangeldiev.
