According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on February 12, an avalanche covered a 59-year-old man named D.A. while he was in the pasture with 50 sheep and one horse.
By the order of the Minister of Emergency Situations, starting from 03:00 on February 13, 24 rescuers from various units and departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in the search and rescue operation.
During the search, 10 carcasses of sheep were found, but the man himself has not yet been located.
The rescuers temporarily halted their actions and spent the night in a shepherd's house located five kilometers from the avalanche site. The search operation will resume on February 14.
