In the "Victory" park near the "Black Tulip" memorial, a solemn requiem meeting took place.
Veterans of the Afghan war, local authorities, and residents of the area attended the event.
The ceremony began with military honors, monitored by a guard provided by the military commissariat. In memory of the fallen heroes, gun salutes were fired.
The attendees honored the memory of the soldiers with a moment of silence and laid flowers at the monument.
The Akim of the Panfilov district, Bekmaat Masaidov, addressing the participants, emphasized the importance of the veterans' feat: "The courage of Soviet soldiers displayed on Afghan soil will forever remain in our memory. The state will continue to support Afghan veterans," he noted.
A total of 58 soldiers from the Panfilov district were sent to the Afghan war, two of whom gave their lives in the line of duty.
