According to the Kochkor District State Administration, about 60 people participated in the press tour, including media representatives from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia, as well as ethnic Kyrgyz from China and guests from other countries.
Participants were introduced to a salt mine in the rural area of Cholpon, known for its healing properties, as well as the "Kuygun Suu" spring, whose water is beneficial for treating skin diseases.
Sports competitions on ice were held on the frozen lake Ara-Köl, adding activity to the tour program.
Guests were informed about the origins of local waters and their healing qualities, and an exhibition of national products and traditional dishes was organized. Participants also had the opportunity to observe a game of kok-boru, which is part of the national equestrian sport.
As part of the event, a "Sogum" festival was held, showcasing various methods of preparing national delicacies. The event concluded at the "Ormon Khan" ethnocomplex (village of Semiz-Bel), where participants attended master classes on Kyrgyz cuisine and were introduced to the infrastructure of the new ethnocomplex, which also includes a historical and ethnographic museum.
