The upcoming World Nomad Games aim to enter history as one of the most spectacular and large-scale events. This year, 49 million soms have been allocated for the prizes of the competition winners and participants. For the first time within the framework of the Games, the "great player of kok-boru" and the "great horse of kok-boru" will be determined, which, according to the organizers, should increase spectator interest and participant motivation.
The prize fund emphasizes the significance of the tournament: in horse racing, winners can receive up to 1 million soms, depending on the distance, while in the team competition for kok-boru, the main prize will be 5 million soms. Additionally, at the initiative of Kazakhstan, kokpar has been added to the competition program for the first time. Kyrgyz teams are already actively training and are fully equipped to participate in this competition.
The main events will take place at several venues in the Issyk-Kul region. Competitions will be held at the racetrack in Cholpon-Ata, at the Gazprom sports and health complex in the village of Baktyu-Dolonotu, and at the Rukh Ordo cultural center. A special atmosphere will be created by the traditional location — the Kychyn valley in the Semenov gorge, where an authentic setting of nomadic culture will be recreated.
