"The initiative was proposed by our side"
Kokpar from Kazakhstan has been included in the program of the VI World Nomad Games, which will take place this year in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced at a press conference by Kazibek Moldazhiyev, head of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports.
The program also includes kok-boru and other traditional sports.
According to Moldazhiyev, "this was an initiative from the Kazakh side. All rules will be followed. Our athletes will participate in kokpar, and we must take into account the wishes of our neighbors," he added.
