Moldazhiyev emphasized that equestrian sports hold an important place in the World Nomad Games, attracting a large number of participants, spectators, and the attention of international media.
“At the V World Nomad Games, held in Kazakhstan, we received a lot of positive feedback, but there was also criticism regarding the format of the kok-boru and kokpar competitions. Many were interested in what format kok-boru would take at the VI World Nomad Games. We decided to include kokpar in the program. All the rules will remain the same, and as a result, both kok-boru and kokpar will participate in the competitions,” he said.
The head of the State Agency noted that sports should be separated from politics. “We promote ethnoculture and ethnosport. Kokpar will definitely be in the program, and our team has already begun preparations and training camps,” he added.
In addition, Moldazhiyev announced that for the first time in the history of the VI World Nomad Games, the nominations for “Great Player in Kok-boru” and “Great Horse in Kok-boru” will be introduced.
