He noted that equestrian sports hold an important place in Kyrgyz national games. In 2023, during the celebration of the 230th anniversary of Khan Ormon Khan Niyazbek uulu, the need for a racetrack became particularly evident, as the games had to be held in Orto-Tokoi due to its absence. Discussing this issue, horse breeders from the Naryn region reached a consensus on the necessity of constructing a racetrack in the Kochkor district.
“As a delegate at the 3rd People's Kurultai in 2024, I raised this issue, conveying a request from the breeders of the Naryn region. As a result, with the support of local authorities, a decision was made to allocate 26 hectares of land in the village of Kok-Jar for the construction of the racetrack. At the 4th People's Kurultai, another delegate from the horse breeders was appointed, who also returned to this topic,” he said.
K. Saralaev emphasized that breeders hope for support from the president, regional authorities, and other responsible individuals so that the project receives the necessary assistance. He added that having a racetrack is extremely important for holding republican celebrations and anniversaries.
Breeders also noted that in countries like Turkmenistan and France, there are many racetracks, with over 5,000 in France alone. In England, even the queen visits racetracks for leisure.
“If we have a racetrack, young people will be able to spend time not in front of their phone screens, but outdoors, engaging in national equestrian sports,” they added.
