The National Bank warns about another fraudulent scheme

The regulator warns about fraud with transfers

According to information from the regulator, fraudsters posing as employees of the National Bank are sending messages to citizens via messengers. In these messages, they claim that a money transfer has been made in the recipient's name, but they require a fee to be paid in order to receive the funds.

“Do not trust such messages and calls. Under no circumstances should you send money to strangers. If in doubt, always verify information through official sources,” warns the regulator.

The National Bank reminds that it does not make calls to citizens, does not send identification of its employees or other official documents via messengers, does not require money transfers, and does not provide services to individuals, including opening accounts and issuing loans to the public.

“If you have become a victim of fraudsters, immediately block your bank card and contact law enforcement authorities,” urges the regulator.
