In the Chuy region, the mushroom season has begun, and oyster mushrooms have started to appear in large numbers in the forests, parks, and groves. This was reported to the Turmush correspondent by mushroom hunter Saiora Mamatova.

According to her information, the warm weather is contributing to the early and abundant growth of these mushrooms this season.

“Oyster mushrooms are resistant to sharp temperature fluctuations and frosts, which does not affect their growth,” noted S. Mamatova.

Biologist Irina Stezhko explained that oyster mushrooms contain 36% highly digestible protein, as well as 18 amino acids necessary for a balanced human diet. They are rich in vitamins B, D, and E, and are capable of normalizing lipid levels in the blood, which helps reduce blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

“Oyster mushrooms are known for their anti-tumor and antiviral properties, strengthen the nervous system, and boost immunity. Additionally, they effectively cleanse the body of radionuclides. Interestingly, after thermal processing, oyster mushrooms almost do not lose their beneficial properties,” added I. Stezhko.
