The city hall reported that public transport operates until 1 AM
In Bishkek, a new type of public transport may be introduced — night buses that will operate at a special fare. This was announced by Ulanbek Beishenbaev, the director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, during a meeting with city residents.
In response to a question about why public transport stops operating so early, the official noted that most bus drivers work until 1 AM, although some may finish their routes earlier.
Nevertheless, Beishenbaev promised that his department would explore the possibility of launching night routes with special fares.
It is also worth noting that Ulanbek Beishenbaev previously announced the "optimization" of the bus route network in Bishkek, which may lead to an increase in the number of transfers for passengers on their way to their final destinations.
